Hobby Lobby and Dollar Tree have a lot of peel and stick craft paper in a ton of patterns or you can paint or bedazzle any design you want! Let your imagination run wild. This is the perfect dorm craft for screen free crafting night with friends.

DIY FRAMED PHOTO KEYHOLDER FOR YOUR DORM

This is such a cute way for you and your roommate to organize your keys. Repurpose the frame, get it at the dollar store, and the same with the screw in hooks! Tip if you don’t have a drill : Take a hammer and nail to make a little hole on the bottom to make screwing in the hook easier.

SODA CAN WALL VASES

Use a can opener to make a wall vase of your favorite beverage. Go to the supermarket with friends and pick out your favorite canned beverage to match your dorm aesthetic. This can hold faux flowers or even pens, pencils, and rulers. Stick on the wall using earthquake puddy or 3M double stick tape.

Use paint, paint pens, markers, rhinestones, photos, or metallics to decorate those plain wooden hangers so they match your dorm aesthetic. DIY CLOUD RAIN LANTERN EASY DORM CRAFT

This DIY Cloud Rain Lantern is easy and cheap to make but will have your dorm room looking cozy and elegant and if you used paper lanterns as decor at your Grad party this is the perfect way to repurpose them.

PAINT / BEDAZZLE A HAIRBRUSH FOR YOUR DORM

You won’t regret decorating your hairbrush for your new dorm and this is something that will last years to come! It also makes a cute and thoughtful diy gift for your best friend that’s going off to College.

Use any of the following to decorate a full sized or mini wood or plastic hairbrush:

  • Paint or paint pens
  • Rhinestones
  • Pearls
  • Seashells
  • Stickers

For a rhinestone hairbrush, I’d use E6000 Craft Adhesive. It works well for attaching flat-back rhinestones and faux pearls to plastic. Apply tiny dots with a toothpick or precision applicator, press the gems into place, and let the brush cure undisturbed for 24–72 hours before using it.

One caution: E6000 can damage some plastics, so I’d test a tiny hidden spot first. Also use it in a well-ventilated area and follow the adhesive’s label instructions.

CROCHET DORM CRAFTS

Make an easy jewelry blanket to organize your jewelry. You can hang it on the wall of your dorm room or roll it up with your jewels in it to store away in a drawer. This free crochet pattern is not only useful and cute in any dorm but easy to make for beginners!

Make these beginner friendly crochet wall hammocks to store your college essentials in your dorm! You can tie them to command hooks and make them any size you want. They’re easy to transport when it’s time to move in and move out.

Paint a dollar tree flowerpot of any size for your dorm to store, pencils, markers, erasers, or brushes.
